Chairperson – Elie Chouraqui, France
Director of the film “Paroles et Musique”, producer of the musical “The 10 Commandments”, a scriptwriter and a writer, Elie Chouraqui, whose work is eclectic and diverse, will be the President of the 9th FIFO Jury.
Marie-Claude Tjibaou, New Caledonia
President of the Tjibaou Cultural Centre and a Member of the Economic and Social Council, Marie Claude Tjibaou is an eminent name of New Caledonian culture and politics.
Mariejosé Alie, France
Delegate director for diversity to the Director of Broadcasting of France Télévisions, Mariejosé is a well-known figure of FIFO and among French Polynesians since, on several occasions, she had her TV show ‘Studio M’ set at the heart of the festival village.
Cushla Dillon, New Zealand
Film editor of award-winning films at FIFO, such as for instance “Trouble is my business” and “This way of life”, two of the special prizes in 2011, Cushla Dillon is particularly interested in marginal New Zealand communities.
Tumata Robinson, French Polynesia,
Director of Tahiti Ora dance troupe, a writer, Tumata Robinson will be one of the two representatives of French Polynesia in this Jury.
Yann Samuell, France
Scriptwriter and director of “With Love...from the Age of Reason”, “My sassy Girl” and “Love me if you dare” with Guillaume Canet and Marion Cotillard. He will be accompanied by his wife, also a scriptwriter, who will lead the FIFO scriptwriting workshop.
Fabrice Puchault, France
Director of documentary departments at France télévisions, this media professional will offer his own informed perspective of the diversity of the documentaries selected.
Stuart Menzies, Australia
Previously the Head of ABC TV Documentaries, and recently appointed first controller of digital channel ABC2, Australia, Stuart Menzies is the second professional documentary programmer from a major network, in this jury.
Rick Blangiardi, Hawaii
General manager of the news network “Hawaii News Now”, which consists of three major Hawaiian channels.
Jacob Luamanuvae, Samoa
Young specialist in 3D special effects, Jacob is Samoan and lives in New Zealand. He took part in many animation films such as “Lord of the Rings 2 & 3”, “Happy Feet”, “Avatar” and more recently, “Tintin”.
Thomas Grenon, France
Director of Paris National Natural History Museum, which, in the coming years, is to welcome FIFO events as part of the itinerant FIFO operations in Paris.
Pierre Ollivier, French Polynesia
FIFO General Delegate from 2004 to 2011, Pierre Ollivier was unquestionably the person to represent French Polynesia and FIFO within the Jury.
