WHAT IS THE FESTIVAL ÂNÛÛ-RÛ ÂBORO ?
The Ânûû-rû Âboro International Festival, launched in 2007, takes place over 10 days in the village of Poindimié and the neighbouring tribes, in northern New Caledonia, but its resonance is felt across the whole country.
Focused on exchanging views, meeting and sharing, the event has selected sixty committed and demanding documentaries from all over the world, as well as from the Pacific. Ânûû-rû Âboro means ‘shadow of a man’ in Paicî, in other words ‘cinema.’ Mankind, dignity, history and values are at the heart of the philosophy of the festival.
The 10th Ânûû-rû Âboro Festival will take place from 14th to 22nd October 2016.
