This very short film tells the story of a tree in the Salomon Islands, the Ngali nut tree, the nut of which has for a long time been the most highly prized and exploited resource of villagers in Fo’ondo, Toa’baita and the Malaita Island. Even though it represents the foundation of local society, its cultivation today is increasingly neglected.
